OIL & FILTER SERVICE

Most technicians agree that the service intervals for oil changes on most late model Land Rovers and Jaguars are inappropriately long in real world driving conditions. On models requiring synthetic oil, factory recommendations indicate that your vehicle can go up to 10k miles between oil changes. In truth, even if the oil were to stand up for such a long interval, the filter will usually begin to break apart if you wait that long. We recommend that you change the oil every 5000 miles using synthetic oil and every 3000 miles using regular oil.

Considering having your oil and filter changed at a non-specialty shop? Keep in mind that we often see cars that have come from lube shops with incorrect oil filters, improperly fitted oil filters, overfilled crankcases and even cracked oil pans.
