DRIVE BELT REPLACEMENT SERVICE

The serpentine drive belt is important to a number of critical vehicle components, including the water pump, power steering pump, alternator and air conditioning. Recommendations for replacement intervals generally vary from 60k to 150k on Land Rovers and Jaguars, depending on the model. The belt does not require any maintenance, but we inspect the condition of the drive belt at every major service and whenever there is a problem that might indicate excessive wear.

Signs that your belt may be nearing the end of its life span include slipping and squealing. We also look for tears and abrasions, pinholes and bumps, chunks, cracks and tears to determine when the belt is worn beyond recommended levels. Replacing the belt before it snaps saves significant money and aggravation as if the belt actually does snap, significant damage to the cooling system and engine can occur.
